What is this for?

WordPress sites tend to have high response times and thus low throughput.

Browser inspectors will show a turtle icon in the Network tab when a request is considered slow (generally > 500ms).

A slow response is believed to impact search engine ranking.

We use a custom file cache attached to the web server, you can read more about it on the About page.

Uncached responses are still below the 500ms threshold and you’ve probably seen one because this demo isn’t being visited that often.
